Hypersensitivity to other sulphonylureas & related drugs. IDDM, diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic coma & pre-coma, hyperosmolar non-ketotic coma, after severe burns, trauma or during infections, diabetics undergoing surgery. Severe renal & hepatic insufficiency. Pregnancy.
Severe diarrhoea & gastroparesis, intestinal obstruction, prolonged vomiting, hyper- & hypoglycaemia, hypothyroidism. Patients suffering from intercurrent infections, traumas, shock or after anaesth. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Renal impairment, hepatic disease. Not recommended during pregnancy. Not to be used during lactation. Paed patients.
