Domar (Pinazepam) is a moderate anxiolytic. The pharmacological activities of Domar are characterized by a marked anxiolytic effect acting on the limbic system, amygdala, and especially the hippocampus, exerting a specific and selective action on emotional control. It has a good muscle relaxant effect without any depressant action on the spinal cord. Domar also has an excellent anti-convulsant effect. Research into the pharmacokinetics of Domar in man has shown that it has a half-life of about 12 hours.
