Lipascor Mechanism of Action

Benefits: Lipascor capsule is a natural alternative in the management of blood lipid levels. Its safety and efficacy has been shown in more than 20 clinical studies. In these studies, thousands of people achieved healthy blood lipid levels with various dosages of xuezhikang^® (Lipascor) in addition to maintaining a sensible diet and exercise programme.
Mode of Action: The naturally occurring HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors in Lipascor capsule works by lowering the liver's production of lipids, resulting in effective regulation of circulating blood lipid levels.
Clinical Evaluation: Xuezhikang^® (Lipascor), the natural active ingredient of Lipascor capsule was found to be safe when consumed according to recommended dose.
The results of a Phase II clinical study involving 446 cases showed that an eight-week treatment with xuezhikang^® (Lipascor) resulted in significant moderation in various lipid levels. Atherogenic index was reduced by 34.5%. Furthermore, it was observed that symptoms such as chest distress, chest pain, dizziness, headache, shortness of breath, bloating, fatigue and numbness of parts of the body and extremities were greatly alleviated in patients treated with xuezhikang^® (Lipascor).
Extended clinical studies of approximately 5,000 cases conducted in 65 large hospitals throughout China yielded results consistent with that of the Phase II study. It was reported that xuezhikang^® (Lipascor) significantly reduced ApoB and Lp(a), increased ApoA, reduced total blood and plasma viscosity and improved microcirculation.
