Indications/Uses
Used to arrest premature labor. Treatment & management of cerebral & peripheral vascular disorders.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals, milk or antacids to minimize GI discomfort.
Contraindications
Use after recent arterial hemorrhage.
Special Precautions
Not to be given immediately post partum or used for premature labor if there is infection. Risk of pulmonary edema in women treated for premature labor.
Adverse Reactions
Transient flushing, hypotension, tachycardia, rashes & GI disturbances. Maternal pulmonary edema & fetal tachycardia (following IV administration in premature labor).
