Cholecalciferol should not be taken with other drugs like cholestyramine, colestipol and mineral oil. These substances decrease the absorption of vitamin D.
Concomitant use with thiazides in patients with hypoparathyroidism may result in hypercalcemia.
Cholecalciferol should be used cautiously in patients taking digoxin or any cardiac glycosides since it may increase arrhythmia.
