Abdominal pain and other gastrointestinal disturbances, including toxic megacolon, dry mouth dizziness, fatigue. and hypersensitivity reactions including skin rashes have been reported. Depression of the CNS. to which children may be more sensitive, may be seen in overdosage, and naloxone hydrochloride has been recommended for its treatment. Gastric lavage and activated charcoal are also used in the management of loperamide overdosage.
