Most side effects of the tablet are not serious commonly some women using oral contraceptives may temporarily experience sickness in the stomach, vomiting, spotting (bleeding) between menstrual periods, weight gain and breast tenderness. If any of these side effects bothers the patient, please consult the doctor.
While the patient is taking the tablet and if any of the following physical disturbances occur call the doctor immediately. A sudden crushing chest pain or heaviness, sharp pain in the chest, coughing of blood, or sudden shortness of breath. Pain in the calf. Sudden severe headache or vomiting dizziness of fainting, disturbance of vision, or speech or weakness or numbness in an arm or leg. Sudden, partial or complete loss of vision, severe pain in the abdomen, difficulty in walking, lack of energy, fatigue or change in mood. Yellowing of the skin of eye-balls. Fortunately, these occur very infrequently.
