Doxazosin mesylate
Indications/Uses
HTN & benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN Initially 1 mg, may be increased if necessary. Max: 16 mg. BPH Initially 1 mg once daily. Recommended dose: 2-4 mg. Max: 8 mg.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Postural hypotension/syncope; use w/ PDE-5 inhibitors; impaired liver function. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, vertigo, arrhythmias, dyspnea, orthostatic hypotension, priapism, headache, unusual tiredness, nausea & nervousness.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use w/ PDE-5 inhibitors.
