Contents
Per 500 mg cap Crystalline glucosamine sulfate 618 mg (equiv to glucosamine sulfate 500 mg & NaCl 128 mg). Per sachet Crystalline glucosamine sulfate 1,884 mg (equiv to glucosamine sulfate 1,500 mg & NaCl 384 mg)
Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Cap 1 cap tid. Powd for oral soln 1 sachet once daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take preferably at meals. Powd for oral soln: Dissolve contents in glass of water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to glucosamine & shellfish. Powd for oral soln: Patients w/ phenylketonuria & fructose intolerance.
Special Precautions
Not indicated for acute painful symptoms. Presence of joint disease. May experience headache, somnolence, tiredness, dizziness or visual disturbances. Asthmatic patients. Patients on Na controlled diet. Patients w/ impaired glucose tolerance. Closely monitor blood sugar levels at the start of treatment. Severe hepatic or renal insufficiency. Not to be used during pregnancy. Not recommended during lactation. Not to be used in childn & adolescents <18 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, somnolence; diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain, dyspepsia; tiredness.
Drug Interactions
Increased effect of coumarin anticoagulants. Enhanced GI absorption of tetracyclines.
