See User's Manual for complete instructions for blood sample collection. Measuring range: 60-100 mg/dL (3.9-5.6 mmol/L) when fasted, or <140 mg/dL (<7.8 mmol/L) 2 hr after meal.
Special Precautions
Not to be used during or soon after xylose absorption testing. Not recommended for patients in shock, w/ severe dehydration, or those in hyperosmolar state (w/ or w/o ketosis). Use the test strip immediately after removing it from the vial. Very high (>70%) & very low (<10%) hematocrit levels can cause false results. False high results w/ abnormally high vit C levels. Perform blood glucose measurement w/ venous or arterial whole blood samples w/in 15 min of sample collection.
