Patients w/ impaired glucose tolerance; asthma; on controlled Na diet. Monitor blood sugar levels prior to treatment. May experience headache, somnolence, tiredness, dizziness, or visual disturbances. May cause allergy to colouring agent sunset yellow FCF (E110). Consider close monitoring of coagulation parameters. Increased effect of coumarin anticoagulants eg, warfarin. Concomitant use w/ platelet anti-aggregants eg, ASA, dipyridamole, clopidogrel, ditazol, triflusal & ticlopidine. May increase GI absorption of tetracyclines. Cardiac &/or renal insufficiency. Severe hepatic insufficiency. Avoid use during pregnancy & lactation. Childn & adolescents <18 yr.
