Glucophage/Glucophage XR Description

Glucophage: 850 mg: Merck Sante Semoy and Merck S.L: Glucophage 850 mg tablets are white, circular, convex and film-coated.
PT Merck Tbk.: Glucophage 850 mg tablets are white, oval, biconvex and film-coated tablet engraved with 'GL 850' on one side.
Each Glucophage 850 mg film-coated tablet contains 850 mg metformin hydrochloride corresponding to 662.9 mg metformin base.
1,000 mg: Merck Sante Semoy and Merck S.L: Glucophage 1,000 mg tablets are white, oval, biconvex and film-coated with a line on both sides with "1000" engraved on one side. The tablet can be divided into equal halves.
Each Glucophage 1,000 mg film-coated tablet contains 1,000 mg metformin hydrochloride corresponding to 780 mg metformin base.
Glucophage XR: Glucophage XR 500 mg: White to off-white, round shaped, biconvex tablet, debossed on one side with "500".
One Glucophage XR 500 mg extended release tablet contains 500 mg metformin hydrochloride corresponding to 390 mg metformin base.
Glucophage XR 750 mg: White to off-white, capsule-shaped, biconvex tablet, debossed on one side with '750' and on the other side with 'Merck'.
One Glucophage XR 750 mg extended release tablet contains 750 mg metformin hydrochloride corresponding to 585 mg metformin base.
Glucophage XR 1,000 mg: White to off-white, capsule-shaped, biconvex tablet, debossed on one side with "1000" and on the other side with 'Merck'.
One Glucophage XR 1,000 mg extended release tablet contains 1,000 mg metformin hydrochloride corresponding to 780 mg metformin base.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Glucophage: Tablet Core: Povidone K 30, Magnesium stearate.
Film-coating: Hypromellose for Glucophage 850 mg. Hypromellose, macrogol 400 and macrogol 8,000 for Glucophage 1,000 mg.
Glucophage XR: Magnesium stearate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, hypromellose.
