Hydrocortisone
Indications/Uses
Relief of minor skin irritations, itching & rashes due to eczema, dermatitis, cosmetics & jewellery, itching genital & anal areas, sunburn.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a small amount to affected skin once daily-tds. Cleanse w/ soap alternative as soap may irritate skin.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Vaccinia, chickenpox, herpes & other viral infections, TB of the skin & syphilitic skin disorders. Do not use on the face, or near the eyes, anal or genital region, or on broken skin.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Avoid large amounts, occlusion & prolonged treatment (>7 days). Visual disturbance. Pregnant or breastfeeding. Not for childn <2 yr except under medical supervision.
Adverse Reactions
Slight stinging sensation; stretch marks (especially in skin folds eg, groin or armpits); blurred vision.
