Silodosin occurs as a white to pale yellowish white powder. It is freely soluble in methanol and ethanol (99.5), and very slightly soluble in water. Silodosin is changed to yellowish white gradually by light. The optical rotation [α] 20D: -13 to -17° (It converted to dehydration product is 0.2g, methanol. 20mL, 100mm). Polymorphic crystal observed.
Melting point: 105-109°C.

Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Tablets contain low substituted hydroxypropylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, D-Mannitol, corn starch, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium oxide, talc and carnauba wax.
