Clotrimazole + Beclometasone Dipropionate + Gentamicin Sulfate (Combiderm) Cream offers three agents with distinct pharmacologic effects and is suitable for treatment of inflammatory and allergic dermatoses threatened or complicated by bacterial and/or common fungal infections. Beclometasone dipropionate exerts powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and anti-allergic properties. Gentamicin sulfate offers a broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against most skin pathogens. Clotrimazole possesses a broad-spectrum anti-fungal activity covering a wide range of fungal organisms implicated in skin infections. It also covers some bacterial species.
Clotrimazole + Beclometasone Dipropionate + Gentamicin Sulfate (Combiderm) Cream is indicated for topical use in a wide range of eczemas and other inflammatory and allergic dermatoses where secondary bacterial and/or fungal infection is present or suspected. These conditions include inguinal dermatoses, chronic dermatitis, erythrasma, eczematoid dermatitis, dyshidrosis, contact dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, pustular acne, follicular dermatitis, intertrigo, impetigo, etc. Clotrimazole + Beclometasone Dipropionate + Gentamicin Sulfate (Combiderm) Cream is also useful in Tinea infections, particularly Tinea pedis, Tinea cruris and Tinea corporis where secondary bacterial infection is often seen along with pronounced eczema.
