Indications/Uses
Analgesic & antipyretic in conditions accompanied by discomfort & fever eg, common cold & viral infections; musculoskeletal pain & painful disorders eg, headaches, dysmenorrhoea, myalgia & neuralgia.

Dosage/Direction for Use
500 mg 1-2 tab every 4-6 hr as needed. Max: Not >8 tab daily. 650 mg Adult 1-1½ tab tds or qds. Max: Not >6 tab daily.

Overdosage

Special Precautions
Discontinue use if severe skin reactions occur. Not to be taken w/ any other paracetamol-containing drugs. Renal or hepatic impairment. Women of childbearing potential. Not recommended during late pregnancy. Lactation.

Adverse Reactions
Agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, pancytopenia; cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions eg, skin rashes, angioedema, SJS/TEN.
Drug Interactions
Enhanced hepatotoxicity by phenobarb, alcohol & doxorubicin. Caution w/ other drugs affecting liver. 650 mg: Contradictory pharmacokinetic results in chloramphenicol t½. Enhanced warfarin anticoagulation activity w/ codeine. Increased haematological toxicity of zidovudine.
