Adverse Reactions
Allergic contact dermatitis (skin rash, redness, itching or hives), angioedema (large, hive-like swellings on skin, in mouth or throat), burning, stinging, swelling or tenderness; transient taste disturbances, burning sensation of tongue.

Drug Interactions
Increased dosage requirements of lidocaine w/ long-term administration of enzyme-inducing agents eg, phenytoin. Concomitant use w/ β-adrenergic blocking agents, cimetidine, other amide-type local anaesth, antiarrhythmic agents.
