Special Precautions

Caution when used for monotherapy in patients with complicated intra-abdominal infections secondary to clinically apparent intestinal perforation, with known hypersensitivity to tetracycline. Consider pseudomembranous colitis in patients with diarrhea. Carefully monitor patients during therapy to prevent superinfections. Monitor patients with severe hepatic impairment. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy and lactation. Children less than 18 years old.
