Do not use for more than 2 days or in cases of high fever or for infants or children under 6 years of age, unless directed by a doctor.
Use in pregnant and lactating women is not known for certain.
If diarrhea in children causes dehydration, then the initial treatment should be given ORALIT.
Diarrhea can cause loss of fluids and electrolytes, therefore rehydration therapy (oral rehydration fluid) may be needed.
It can affect the absorption of other drugs in the digestive tract, therefore a 2-3 hour interval is recommended between giving other drugs orally and this drug.
If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
