Contents

Description
1 ampoule of Cytoflavin contains: Succinic acid 1.00 g, nicotinamide 0.10 g, inosine 0.20 g, riboflavin sodium phosphate 0.02 g.
Indications/Uses
CYTOFLAVIN is indicated as additional therapy to standard therapy for: Moderate stage of acute ischaemic stroke, to be administered within the first 6-24 hours after the onset of stroke symptoms; the residual symptoms (sequelae) of ischemic stroke which occurred within the previous 25-30 days.
Dosage/Direction for Use
In the moderate acute ischemic stroke, Cytoflavin should be given as early as possible with the single dose of 10 mL, with 8-12 hourly interval for 10 consecutive days.
In residual symptoms due to ischemic stroke that occurred 25-30 days previously, Cytoflavin should be given once daily with a single dose of 10 mL for 10 consecutive days.
Contraindications
Sensitivity to any component of Cytoflavin, pregnancy, lactation, childhood (0-18 years old), it is not indicated for critically ill patients until the central hemodynamic parameters become normal and/or if the partial pressure of arterial oxygen is below 60 mmHg.
Special Precautions
Receiving diabetes therapy; nephrolithiasis; hyperuricemia; elderly (>65 yr). May impair the ability to drive or operate the machinery.
Adverse Reactions
Rarely: Shivering, hyperthermia, weakness, increased body temperature, sweating, pain, and erythema or reddish patches on the skin.
Very rarely: Hypersensitivity reaction, anaphylactic shock; Headache, dizziness, paresthesia, tremor, hypoesthesia or numbness; Psychomotor agitation; Tachycardia, short-term chest pain, feeling of increased frequency of heart rate; Arterial hypotension/hypertension, hyperemia or pale skin with varying degrees of severity; Dyspnea, asthma, sore throat, dry cough, hoarseness, paresthesia or tingling in the nose, dysosmia or smell disturbance, bronchospasm; Bitter taste, dry mouth, metallic taste, short-term epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, hypoesthesia or oral numbness, dyspepsia; Itching, rash, facial swelling, urticaria, angioedema, sweating; Temporary hypoglycemia, hyperuricemia; aggravated gout; Hyperpnea.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use with chlorpromazine, imipramine, amitriptyline, thyroid hormone, doxycycline, tetracycline, oxytetracycline, erythromycin, lincomycin, streptomycin.
