Side effects that often occur with Ofloxacin are pain, itching, and redness on the conjunctiva. The same reaction can occur in the use of other aminoglycoside antibiotics. If topical ofloxacin for the eye is used with systemic aminoglycoside antibiotics the total serum level must always be monitored. Other reactions that have been reported are: Chemical conjunctivities/keratitis ocular/particular/facial edema, foreign body sensation, photophobia, blurred vision, tearing, dryness, and pain in the eyes. A rare reaction: dizziness.
