Chewable tablet: Each chewable tablet contains: Aluminum hydroxide 200 mg, magnesium hydroxide 200 mg, simethicone 80 mg.
Suspension: After being shaken homogeneously, white color, aromatic odor, spicy sweet taste.
Each measuring spoonful (5 ml) contains: Aluminum hydroxide gel equivalent to aluminum hydroxide 200 mg, magnesium hydroxide gel equivalent to magnesium hydroxide 200 mg, simethicone 80 mg.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Suspension: Hydroxyethylcellulose, sorbitol, saccharin sodium, sodium cyclamate, propylparaben, mint essence, purified water.
Suspension: The combination of Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide acts as antacid, which neutralizes gastric acid and inactivate pepsin, therefore reduces stomach pain due to irritation by gastric acid and pepsin. The laxative effect of Magnesium hydroxide reduces the constipation effect of Aluminum hydroxide. Simethicone reduces gas bubbles in gastrointestinal tract, therefore reduces gastrointestinal discomfort due to entrapped gas.
Acts as antacid to reduce gastric hyperacidity, gastritis, peptic ulcer, duodenal ulcer, with symptoms as nausea, gastric pain, stomach pain, gastrointestinal discomfort due to entrapped gas, upset stomach.
Chewable tablet: Adults: 1-2 chewable tablets, 3-4 times a day.
To be taken an hour before meal or 2 hours after meal and before bedtime, well chewed first.
Suspension: Adults: 1-2 measuring spoonfuls (5-10 ml), 3-4 times a day.
Children 6-12 years old: ½-1 measuring spoonful (2.5-5 ml), 3-4 times a day.
To be taken an hour before meal or 2 hours after meal and before bedtime.
Do not administer in patients with severe renal function impairment, since hypermagnesemia could be developed.
Not recommended for long-term (over 2 weeks) therapy, unless recommended by physician.
If concomitant therapy with Cimetidine or Tetracycline is needed, dosage should be given with 1-2 hours interval.
Not recommended for younger that 6 years old children, unless recommended by physician, since the diseases are usually unclear.
Caution for administration in patients with low-phosphor diet and long-term therapy, since it could reduce blood phosphor level.
Common adverse reactions are constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, that would disappear with administration discontinuation.
Suspension: Concomitant therapy with Cimetidine or Tetracycline could reduce the absorption of these drugs.
Suspension: Store below 30°C.
Protect from light.
Do not freeze.
Should be used within 3 months after opening the bottle.
