Adult (including the elderly) & paed patient 1 drop in affected eye(s) once daily, optimally in the evening. Max: Once daily. Administer at least 5 min apart if used w/ >1 topical ophth drug.
Avoid in patients w/ active herpes simplex keratitis & w/ history of recurrent herpetic keratitis specifically associated w/ prostaglandin analogues. May gradually increase brown pigment of iris; change eyelashes & vellus hair in treated eye including increased length, thickness, pigmentation, number of lashes & hairs, & misdirected growth of eyelashes; eyelid skin darkening. Potential for heterochromia in patients receiving unilateral treatment. Macular edema including cystoid macular edema in aphakic & pseudophakic patients w/ torn posterior lens cap, or those w/ known risk factors for macular edema. Inflammatory neovascular glaucoma. Patients w/ history of herpetic keratitis. Regularly examine patients who develop increased iris pigmentation. Remove contact lenses before instillation & reinsert after 15 min. Not to drive or use machines until transient vision blurring is resolved. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <1 yr. Pre-term infants (<36 wk gestational age).
