Indications/Uses

Acute uncomplicated or recurrent/complicated UTI. Gonorrhea. GIT infections.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Acute uncomplicated UTI 1 tab bid for 3 days. Recurrent/complicated UTI 1 tab bid for 10-21 days. Gonorrhea 2 tab as single dose. GIT infections 1 tab bid for 5 days.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take on an empty stomach 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals, w/ a glass of water. Ensure adequate hydration. Do not take w/ dairy products.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to quinolones. Severe renal insufficiency. Pregnancy. Childn.

Adverse Reactions

GI distress, neurological disturbances; fatigue, rash, depression, somnolence, heartburn, fever, dyspepsia, insomnia.

Drug Interactions

Impaired absorption w/ antacids. May increase theophylline plasma levels.
