Treatment of essential hypertension.
Micardis: Prevention of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in patients 55 years or older at high risk of cardiovascular disease (see Pharmacology under Actions).
Micardis Plus: As fixed dose combination MICARDIS PLUS is indicated in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on telmisartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone.
