With adverse reactions caused by androgen, pause administration. After the disappearance of the reactions, prescribe a smaller dosage.
Patients with cardiovascular disorders, renal and hepatic impairment, epilepsy, migraine and diabetes mellitus should be examined regularly as androgen may cause fluid and electrolyte retention.
Precaution should be taken when administering androgen to prepubertal boys in order to avoid premature epiphyseal closure or precocious sexual development.
