Prolonged use of Glucosamine has been reported to cause hyperglycemia. Blood glucose should be monitored periodically.
Caution is advised when it is to be used in diabetic patients, dosage of antidiabetic may need to be adjusted accordingly.
If it is to be used with warfarin, caution should be exercised because Glucosamine potentiate anticoagulant effect of warfarin.
