Prophylactic immunization against Japanese encephalitis.

Dosage/Direction for Use

SC Inj into deltoid muscle of right or left arm. Infant ≥9 mth Primary immunization: Single dose of 0.5 mL. Booster dose: Give from 3 mth to 1 yr after primary dose.

Contraindications

Proven or suspected history of hypersensitivity/anaphylactic reactions to live-attenuated Japanese encephalitis virus including gelatin. Patients w/ fever, acute infectious disease, tympanitis or active untreated TB; malnutrition, general allergy & convulsion; cardiac, liver or kidney disorders; weak or malfunctioning immune system; undergoing immunosuppressive therapy. Pregnancy & lactation.
