Vacontil is used to treat diarrhea, Vacontil makes the stools more solid and less frequent.
The patient can take Vacontil for sudden (acute) diarrhea or long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea.
The patient may also be given Vacontil if the patient has part of the intestines removed, as this often causes diarrhea.
