Coal tar solution, tar (pine), salicylic acid.
Sebitar contains pine tar, coal tar, salicylic acid, and a mild surfactant system. Sebitar helps maintain the natural acid pH of the skin and reduce the risk of possible irritation.
Solution pH 6.
Cleansing, antipruritic, keratolytic, anti-inflammatory.
For relief of the symptoms of seborrhoeic dermatitis (scaling and flaking scalp), eczema and psoriasis of the scalp.
For itching and inflamed scalp.
Directions for use: Use twice weekly, or up to once daily if required. Wet hair. Apply to affected area. Massage well. Apply more to remainder of the scalp and hair. Work into a lather. Leave for 5 minutes, rinse thoroughly.
Sensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Do not use if the patient is allergic to tar, coal tar, salicylic acid, benzyl alcohol or any of the other ingredients in the product. For external use only. Avoid eyes. If Sebitar enters eyes, rinse with clean water. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Do not use for prolonged periods except on the advice of a doctor. Do not use this product with other forms of psoriasis therapy such as UV radiation or prescription drugs unless directed to do so by a doctor. Do not use on children under 2 years of age unless supervised by a doctor.
Contains: Benzyl alcohol 1% w/w as preservative.
