Miconazole nitrate 2% w/w.

Description

Cream contains miconazole nitrate, in a protective silicone cream base.

Action

Miconazole nitrate, like other imidazole derivatives, acts by altering the permeability of the cell membrane in sensitive fungi. The absorption of miconazole is not significant when topically applied.

Indications/Uses

Topical treatment of fungal infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch and ringworm, pityriasis versicolor, thrush, thrush infected napkin rash and fungal infections where bacterial infection may be present. Protective silicone cream base; helps protect the skin from chafing, water, urine and other irritants.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Clean and dry affected area thoroughly. Apply Resolve Cream to the affected and surrounding skin twice daily. Continue treatment for 2 weeks after symptoms disappear to avoid recurrence. Regular application is essential for successful treatment. Cleanse with a soap alternative as soap may irritate the skin.

Contraindications

Sensitivity or allergic to miconazole nitrate or to any ingredients of Resolve Tinea.

Warnings

Avoid eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. For external use only. Contains Phenethyl alcohol 1% w/w as preservative.

Storage

Store below 30°C.
