Contains cobalt; may cause sensitivity reactions in individuals w/ cobalt allergy. Tab: Not to be administered for extensive periods to patients who show no clinical response. Instruct patient to remove drug from package prior to use if dispensed in press-through package. Not recommended for prolonged use of larger doses in patients whose occupation requires handling Hg or its compd. Inj: Not to be used aimlessly for >1 mth unless effective. Susceptible to photolysis; promptly use after opening package & do not expose amp to direct light. Avoid repeated inj at same site. Do not inj in densely innervated site. Immediately w/draw needle & inj at different site if insertion of inj needle causes intense pain or if blood flows back into the syringe. Wipe cut point of amp w/ alcohol swab before opening. Lactation. Prematures, neonates, nursing infants & childn.
