PREGNANCY: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. INVANZ should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the mother and fetus.
NURSING MOTHERS: Ertapenem is excreted in human milk (see Pharmacology: Pharmacokinetics: Distribution under Actions). Caution should be exercised when INVANZ is administered to a nursing woman.
