Ichthammol, zinc oxide.

Description

Egoderm ointment contains ichthammol and zinc oxide in a soft, paraffin base.
Lanolin-free and cortisone-free.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Preservatives (w/w): Methyl hydroxybenzoate 0.1%, propyl hydroxybenzoate 0.1% in a soft, paraffin base.

Action

Anti-inflammatory. Anti-itch.

Indications/Uses

Alternative to corticosteroids for subacute skin eruptions. Relieves irritation and symptoms of tender, itchy, scratched or broken skin rashes, genital and anal irritation, minor cold sores, nappy rash, dermatitis, and eczema.
Suitable for adults, children and babies.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Directions: Apply to affected skin 3 times daily or as needed.
As soap may irritate, cleanse skin with Pinetarsol to reduce inflammation and relieve itching.
Persistent scaly, itchy skin: After 3 to 5 days very itchy, less inflamed skin may require EgoPsoryl TA.

Contraindications

Sensitivity to any ingredient of the ointment. Acute weeping dermatoses.

Special Precautions

For external use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Caution For Usage

To open: Unscrew cap, peel off security seal. Do not use if seal is broken.

Storage

Store below 30°C.
