Cream containing Miconazole Nitrate BP 2% w/w.
Skin and nail infections due to dermatophytes, yeasts, and other fungi such as: Tinea capitis, corporis, manuum, pedis (athlete's foot), barbae, cruris.
Tinea unguium or onychomycosis.
Pityriasis versicolor.
Candidosis of skin and nails.
Stomatitis angularis.
Otitis externa.
Since Candiplas has an antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria it may be used in mycoses secondarily infected with such bacteria.
Skin infections: Apply some cream to the lesions twice daily. Rub the cream with the finger until it has fully penetrated the skin. When all lesions have disappeared (usually after 2 to 5 weeks) prolong treatment for some 10 days to prevent relapse.
Nail infections: Clip infected nails as shortly as possible. Once daily apply some cream to the infected nail and rub with the finger. Cover nail with a non-perforated occlusive plastic bandage.
Also after loosening of the infected nail (from 2-3 weeks onwards), uninterrupted treatment should be continued until the growth of a new nail has set in and definite cure can be observed (mostly after seven months or more).

So far no sensitisation effects have been observed with Candiplas.
Candiplas cream does not stain skin or clothes.
Do not use on children less than 2 years of age except on the advice and supervision of a doctor.
Contact a doctor if there is no improvement in 4 weeks (athlete's foot) or 2 weeks (Jock itch).
Avoid contact with the eyes.
Usage During Pregnancy: Candiplas cream should not be used extensively during pregnancy.
Topical application of Candiplas is excellently tolerated.
Miconazole Nitrate interacts with Amphotericin and Nicoumalrone.
