AdultResp tract infection & UTI 100-200 mg every 12 hr. Skin & soft tissue infection 200-400 mg every 12 hr. Uncomplicated gonorrhea 200 mg as single dose. ChildnResp tract infection, UTI, skin & soft tissue infection 200 mg daily. Otitis media 400 mg daily. Childn ≥2 mthPharyngitis or tonsilitis 5 mg/kg every 12 hr, up to a max of 200 mg daily.
Patients w/ transient or persistent reduction in urinary output due to renal insufficiency. Concurrent treatment w/ potent diuretics. Pregnancy. Discontinue nursing during treatment or discontinue the drug.
