Paracetamol 450 mg, orphenadrine citrate 35 mg
Indications/Uses
Acute or chronic painful muscular conditions, non-articular rheumatism, whiplash injury, acute torticollis, tension headache, dysmenorrhea.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals if GI discomfort occurs.
Contraindications
Patients w/ glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder obstruction, neck or myasthenia gravis. Tachycardia.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ cardiac failure, coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias & tachycardia. Alcohol dependence. Monitor blood, urine, & LFTs periodically in prolonged therapy. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Impaired kidney or liver function. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth, nausea, blurring of vision, dizziness & restlessness.
Drug Interactions
May increase risk of bleeding w/ warfarin & coumarins. Increased anticholinergic side effects w/ other anticholinergic drugs. Additive CNS effects w/ propoxyphene. Increased bupropion levels. May antagonise actions of centrally-acting anticholinesterases eg, donepezil, galantamine, rivastigmine, tacrine. May decrease absorption of levodopa. Increased risk of liver damage w/ alcohol. Paracetamol: Increased absorption w/ metoclopramide & domperidone. Decreased absorption w/ cholestyramine.
