Vitamin B-complex.

Description

Each ampoule contains: Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) 100 mg, Riboflavin, 5'-Phosphate Sodium (Vitamin B2) 5 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 100 mg, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 1 mg, Nicotinamide 100 mg (Vitamin B3), Dexpanthenol 50 mg.

Indications/Uses

Vitamin B-Complex (SANNOVIT) is used in the treatment and prevention or deficiencies such as beri-beri, peripheral neuritis, sideroblastic anemia, megaloblastic anemia, pernicious anemia, neurological damage, pellagra.

Dosage/Direction for Use

One ampoule (3 mL) twice weekly I.M./I.V. or as prescribed by the physician.

Special Precautions

A fatal toxic syndrome in premature infants was attributed to benzyl alcohol present as a preservative in solution used to flush intravenous catheters.
This has led to the restriction of use of benzyl alcohol in neonates.

Adverse Reactions

There have been a few reports of hypersensitivity reactions to benzyl alcohol when used as a preservative. There has been some instance of neurologic effects in patients given intrathecal injections that contained benzyl alcohol.
