ROWATANAL Cream has an antiseptic, astringent (cleansing) properties. It relieves the intense itching and burning sensation associated with haemorrhoids.
ROWATANAL Cream is for the relief of pain and itching associated with internal and external hemorrhoids (piles), pruritus and irritation around the back passage and other related conditions.
Wash the anal area thoroughly and dry carefully with a very soft towel.
Apply the cream freely in the morning and night and after each bowel movement until the condition is controlled.
For internal hemorrhoids, use the applicator nozzle provided. The applicator nozzle is lubricated first before each application and cleansed thoroughly after use with a hot solution of detergent. Continue the treatment for a few days after the initial signs of improvement.
The patient should not use ROWATANAL Cream if the patients are allergic to any of the ingredients.
ROWATANAL Cream is for rectal use only and should not be taken by mouth.
The patient should consult the doctor before using ROWATANAL Cream if piles are bleeding or have been present for some time. If the condition persists or worsens the patient should also consult the doctor.
Side effects have been reported rarely with the use of Rowatanal cream and similar products. Side effects include a transient cooling sensation on application of the cream. Sensitivity reactions have rarely been reported.
If the patient experiences these or any other undesirable effects, tell the doctor immediately.
ROWATANAL Cream should be kept in a cool, dry place in temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Always replace cap of the tube after use.
