Diosmin, hesperidin.
Description
A light brown color film-coated elliptical tablet.
Each film-coated tablet contains: Diosmin 450 mg, Hesperidin 50 mg.
Action
Vasoprotective.
RiteMED Diosmin + Hesperidin Film-Coated Tablet contains 450 mg of Diosmin and 50 mg of Hesperidin as active ingredients. Diosmin and Hesperidin are flavonoid compounds. When used together, they prolong the vasoconstriction effect of noradrenaline on the venous wall, thus increasing venous return and reducing venous hyperpressure present in patients with chronic venous disease and haemorrhoidal disease.
Indications/Uses
RiteMED Diosmin + Hesperidin Film-Coated Tablet is used for treatment of organic and functional chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs with the following symptoms: heavy legs, pain and nocturnal cramps. Treatment of chronic hemorrhoids and acute hemorrhoidal attacks.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Usual dose in chronic venous insufficiency: 1 tablet 2 times daily.
In acute hemorrhoidal attacks: 3 tablets 2 times daily for 4 days followed by 2 tablets 2 times daily for 3 days, then 2 tablets daily.
In chronic hemorrhoidal disease: 2 tablets daily.
Tablets are to be taken after meals.
Missed dose: If the patient misses a dose of RiteMED Diosmin + Hesperidin Film-Coated Tablet and is taking it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is approaching time for the next dose, do not double the dose to make up for the forgotten dose, unless advised by the healthcare provider. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Overdosage
Signs and Symptoms of Overdose: None have been mentioned.
When the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage: Seek for medical attention if the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage.
Contraindications
Do not take this medicine if the patient is allergic to Diosmin or Hesperidin or to any ingredients of this medicine.
Avoid taking this medicine if the patient is breastfeeding.
Special Precautions
No harmful effect has so far been reported for pregnancy in human. The patient is not recommended to breastfeed during treatment.
When to consult the doctor: If the patient is allergic to the medicine.
If the patient has any other health related problems.
If symptoms do not improve or new symptoms appear.
If undesirable effects develop.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
No harmful effect has so far been reported for pregnancy in human.
The patient is not recommended to breastfeed during treatment.
Avoid taking this medicine if the patient is breastfeeding.
Adverse Reactions
Some cases of minor gastrointestinal and neurovegetative disorders have been reported which never required cessation of treatment.
Drug Interactions
Tell the pharmacist if the patient is taking or has recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Storage
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture.
