625 mg: For the treatment of common bacterial infections where oral therapy is indicated, including: upper respiratory tract infections (including ENT): sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media.
Skin and soft tissue infections: boils/abscesses, cellulitis, wound infections, intra-abdominal sepsis.
Lower respiratory tract infections: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess.
Genitourinary tract infections: cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, septic abortion, pelvic infection, gonorrhea.
Other infections: osteomyelitis, septicemia, peritonitis, post-operative infections.
1 g: Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid is indicated for the treatment of the following infections in adults and children (see Dosage & Administration, Precautions, and Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions): Acute bacterial sinusitis (adequately diagnosed).
Acute otitis media.
Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (adequately diagnosed).
Community-acquired pneumonia.
Cystitis.
Pyelonephritis.
Skin and soft tissue infections in particular cellulitis, animal bites, severe dental abscess with spreading cellulitis.
Bone and joint infections, in particular osteomyelitis.
