Ascorbic acid (PEDCEE) is essential for the synthesis of collagen, a connective tissue protein of the body, necessary for the formation and maintenance of tooth and bone matrix, and for the growth and repair of body tissue cells, gums and blood vessels.
Ascorbic acid (PEDCEE) functions in converting amino acids to substances needed for normal brain and nerve functions.
Ascorbic acid (PEDCEE) is for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin C deficiency. It hastens healing of wounds and burns and helps increase body resistance to stress, infections and common colds. Ascorbic acid (PEDCEE) helps meet the increased Vitamin C requirements during pregnancy and lactation, in alcoholics, smokers, athletes and elderly, in individuals with infectious diseases and chronic illness and those undergoing operations and dental surgery.
Drops: Infants below 3 months: 0.3 mL.
3-12 months: 0.3 mL to 0.6 mL.
Children over 1 year: 0.6 mL to 1.2 mL.
To be taken once daily for supplementation and twice daily for therapeutic, or as prescribed by a physician.
Syrup: Children between 4 and 15 years: 2.5 mL to 5.0 mL (1/2-1 teaspoonful) once a day or as prescribed by a physician.
Adults and children over 15 years: 5.0 mL to 10 mL (1-2 teaspoonfuls) once a day or as prescribed by a physician.
Large doses of Vitamin C should be given with care to patients with hyperoxaluria. Acute toxicity of Zinc is characterized by dehydration, stomach pain, lethargy, dizziness and renal failure.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C, away from direct sunlight.
