Indications/Uses
Ocular signs & symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Instill 1 drop in conjunctival sac of affected eye or eyes bid (8 hrly), may be maintained for up to 4 mth if considered necessary. Ped patient ≥3 yr Same as adult dose.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if serious reactions or hypersensitivity occur. Careful not to touch eyelids, surrounding areas, or other surfaces w/ dropper tip of bottle to prevent contamination of dropper tip & soln. Allow interval of 5-10 min between successive applications in case of concomitant therapy w/ other topical ocular medicines. Benzalkonium Cl content may cause punctate keratopathy &/or toxic ulcerative keratopathy. Require close, frequent & regular monitoring in dry eye patients or in conditions where cornea is compromised. Wait 10-15 min after instillation before re-inserting contact lenses. Temporary blurred vision or other visual disturbances may affect ability to drive or use machines. Kidney & liver failure. Effective contraception during treatment in women of childbearing potential. Not to be used unless necessary; use only if potential benefit is more than potential fetal risk during pregnancy. Not recommended for breastfeeding mothers.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, dysgeusia; eye pain & irritation, dry eye, abnormal sensation in eyes; nasal dryness; fatigue.
