Each film-coated tablet contains Mecobalamin 500 mcg or 1.5 mg.
Mecobalamin is one of the two active coenzyme forms of vitamin B-12. It is a co-factor to the enzyme methionine synthetase that functions to transfer methyl groups for the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine. It is closely involved in folate metabolism, and is pivotal for the purines and pyrimidines. It also acts as a methyl donor for the synthesis of lecithin, a major component of myelin sheath.
