Carnitine orotate 150 mg, pyridoxine HCl 25 mg, cyanocobalamin 125 mcg, hepatic extr antitoxic fraction 12.5 mg, adenine HCl 2.5 mg, riboflavin 500 mcg
Indications/Uses
Adjunct in the treatment of acute chronic hepatitis, fatty liver, hepatic cirrhosis, hepatic intoxication by drug or chemical substance & mitochondrial dysfunctions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 2 cap tid. Childn 1 cap tid.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Riboflavin: Large doses result in bright yellow urine discoloration that may interfere w/ certain lab tests. Pyridoxine: Development of severe peripheral neuropathies on long-term use of large doses. Cyanocobalamin: Doses >10 mcg/day may produce hematological response in patients w/ folate deficiency; indiscriminate use may mask precise diagnosis.
Adverse Reactions
Body odor. Carnitine (large doses): GI disturbances eg, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea & abdominal cramps.
Drug Interactions
Pyridoxine: Reduced effects of levodopa & activity of altretamine. Decreased serum conc of phenobarb & phenytoin. Vit B12: May reduce absorption w/ neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, H2 antagonist & colchicine.
