Hypersensitivity to gliclazide or to any of the excipients/ingredient in these products, other sulfonylureas, sulfonamides.
Type 1 diabetes/diabetes mellitus/Insulin-dependent diabetes (type 1).
Diabetic pre-coma and coma, diabetic keto-acidosis/Diabetes complicated by ketosis and acidosis.
Severe renal or hepatic insufficiency. In these cases the use of insulin is recommended.
Treatment with miconazole via systemic route or oromucosal gel drugs (see INTERACTIONS).
Glubitor/Glubitor-OD (PR tab): This medicinal product is contraindicated in case of: Lactation (see USE IN PREGNANCY & LACTATION).
Glubitor-OD (MR tab): Unstable or brittle diabetes.
Use in pregnant and breastfeeding women is contraindicated.
During stress conditions, e.g., serious infection, trauma or surgery.
