Description
This product is a preparation containing vitamins, minerals, trace elements, DHA and EPA.
Each soft capsule contains: β-carotene (Vitamin A) 2,566 IU, Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D) 200 IU, DL-Alpha-tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E) 15 IU, Docosahexaenoic acid Omega 3 (DHA) 200 mg, Calcium ascorbate (Vitamin C) 85 mg, Magnesium (as Magnesium oxide) 57 mg, Eicosapentaenoic acid Omega 3 [EPA] (in the form ethyl esters, Incromega E1050 Oil) 39 mg, Nicotinamide (Niacin) 18 mg, Iron (as Ferrous fumarate) 14 mg, Zinc (as Zinc oxide) 10 mg, Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 1.9 mg, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 1.4 mg, Thiamine mononitrate (Vitamin B1) 1.4 mg, Copper (as Cupric sulfate monohydrate) 1.0 mg, Calcium L-methylfolate (Folic acid) 225 mcg, Pteroylmonoglutamic acid (Folic acid) 200 mcg, Iodine (as Potassium iodate) 130 mcg, Selenium (as Sodium selenite) 60 mcg, Biotin (as D-Biotin) 30 mcg, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 2.6 mcg.
The product is a soft gelatin oblong, opaque brown capsule with homogenous oily reddish-brownish suspension with characteristic fish odor.
Indications/Uses
Multivitamins + Minerals + DHA + EPA (Elevit Pregnancy) is indicated to be used throughout the second and third trimester of pregnancy. Each ingredient plays a key role in the mother's health and normal fetal development.

Provides DHA, EPA, vitamins, and minerals for a healthy pregnancy.
Supports fetal brain and eye development.
Supports a healthy immune system.
Folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D, magnesium, and iron support cell division and differentiation during pregnancy.
Folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and iron help maintain normal blood formation, important for the blood supply during pregnancy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
One capsule daily to be taken as a whole with a glass of water preferably with a meal. In case of morning sickness, it is recommended that the capsule is taken at noon or in the evening.
Missed dose: If a dose is missed, missed capsule should be skipped and the next capsule taken at the usual time. The dose must not be doubled to make up for a missed dose.
Overdosage
Signs and Symptoms of Overdose: There is no evidence that this product can lead to an overdose when used as recommended. Most, if not all reports concerning overdoses of vitamins and minerals are associated with concomitant intake of high dosed single and/or multivitamin preparations.
Uncharacteristic initial symptoms, such as abrupt onset of headache, confusion, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting might be indicative for an acute overdose.
If such symptoms occur, treatment must be stopped, and a health care professional consulted.
What to do when the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage: There is no specific antidote however patients should still consult their physician.
Contraindications
In case the patient takes any medication or has any medical condition please consult the doctor before taking this product.
Do not take the product if the patient is allergic to any product ingredient. Please note that the product contains DHA and EPA from fish oil.
Special Precautions
The recommended dosage must not be exceeded.
Patients receiving other single vitamins or multivitamin preparations, any other medication or those under medical care should consult a health care professional before taking this product (see Interactions). The product should not substitute a healthy balanced diet.
As ascorbic acid and Vitamin D may have an effect on stone formation, patients with nephrolithiasis or urolithiasis should use caution when using vitamin supplements.
When should the patient consult a doctor: If symptoms of overdosage occur, the product should be stopped, and a health care professional consulted.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
General remark: Adequate maternal micronutrient status is important during pregnancy and the requirements for most micronutrients are higher in these periods. A complete multivitamin product containing folate and safe amounts of vitamin D, as well as of the other ingredients can thus be used during pregnancy to ensure sufficient micronutrient intake and to prevent vitamin and mineral deficiency.
Lactation: The vitamins and minerals in this preparation are excreted into breast milk. This must be taken into consideration if the infant is receiving any respective supplements.
Fertility: There are no data on the effect of the medicinal product on fertility.
Adverse Reactions
Gastrointestinal Disorders: Gastrointestinal and abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting may occur.
Immune system disorders: In isolated cases this product may cause allergic or anaphylactic reaction. Symptoms may include hives, facial swelling, wheezing, skin reddening, rash, blisters, and shock. If an allergic reaction occurs, treatment must be stopped, and a health care professional consulted.
Drug Interactions
When used as recommended no specific interactions are expected. However, potential interactions for single nutrients with medicinal drugs are reported in the literature, thus patients receiving any other medication or those under medical care should consult a physician or healthcare professional before taking this product.
Storage
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
