120 mg/5 mL suspChildn 21-24 kg 13 mL; 16-20 kg 10 mL; 12-15 kg 7.5 mL; 8-11 kg 5 mL. 250 mg/5 mL suspChildn 10-12 yr (32-42 kg) 9 mL, 8-9 yr (26-31 kg) 7 mL, 6-7 yr (20-25 kg) 6 mL. DropsChildn 12-24 mth (10-15 kg) 1.5 mL; 4-12 mth (7-9 kg) 1 mL; 2-3 mth (5-6 kg) 0.75 mL; 1 mth (4 kg) 0.5 mL. Doses are to be taken 4-6 hr, max of 3 days.
Do not take >4 doses in any 24-hr period or >3 days. Use the smallest dose that is needed to treat symptoms & use for the shortest period of time necessary. Patient w/ liver or kidney problems, who are underwt or malnourished. Metabolic acidosis, avoid use in patients w/ severe infection. Patients w/ glutathione depleted states eg, sepsis. Liver or kidney impairment.
Enhanced anticoagulant effect of warfarin & other coumarins w/ increased risk of bleeding by prolonged regular daily use. Not to be used w/ other paracetamol containing products.
