Indications/Uses
Severe (erosive & ulcerative) GERD, active PUD & Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Barole 20 Adult Healing of erosive or ulcerative GERD 20 mg daily for 4-8 wk. Maintenance of healing of erosive or ulcerative GERD 20 mg daily. Healing of duodenal ulcers 20 mg daily after breakfast up to 4 wk. Pathological hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Individualized dosage. Initially 60 mg once daily, adjusted up to 100 mg once daily & 60 mg bid. Barole Injection 20 mg IV once daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Barole 20 Swallow whole, do not chew/crush/split.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to rabeprazole, substituted benzimidazole.
Special Precautions
May not preclude the presence of gastric malignancy. Severe hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Malaise, diarrhea, nausea, skin eruptions, headache & dizziness; increased hepatic enzymes, LDH, BUN.
Drug Interactions
Barole 20 May affect gastric absorption of compd which are dependent on gastric pH eg, ketoconazole.
