The recommended dosage of Tiotropium bromide is inhalation of the contents of one capsule once daily with the inhalation device at the same time of day.
Tiotropium bromide capsules must not be swallowed.
Special population: Elderly patients can use Tiotropium bromide at the recommended dose.
Renally impaired patients can use Tiotropium bromide at the recommended dose.
However, as with all predominantly renally excreted drugs, Tiotropium bromide use should be monitored closely in patients with moderate to severe renal impairment.
Hepatically impaired patients can use Tiotropium bromide at the recommended dose.
Pediatric population: There is no experience with Tiotropium bromide in infants and children and therefore should not be used in this age group.
